What is Bobbs and the Little Boy?

Every child has a special stuffed animal who shares the joys and scares of life with them. For the Little Boy in Diane Page's new children's book Bobbs and the Little Boy it was Bobbs. The Little Boy begged his mother to buy this stuffed creature who he names Bobbs and who becomes his best friend. Bobbs and the Little Boy tackle questions like why some children are afraid of thunder or large dogs and what exactly is daycare anyway. Presented as a 34 page, full color illustrated, hardbacked book, Bobbs and the Little Boy is perfect for children from birth through early elementary school. Illustrated by Bruce Bigelow and written by Diane Page, Bobbs and the Little Boy sends a resoundingly clear message of normalcy to all children who fear such things as clowns, scary animals, and thunderstorms. And the Little Boy ever so lovingly, explains as children grow and mature, these fears, for the most part, will go away, especially with the friendship of a small, stuffed creature.

What We Thought:

This book is very sweet! It would help answer many of the questions lots of children have.  It is a well-written story that I would recommend for children ages 2 and older. Each page had a little bit too much writing for Maggie who is only 17 months, but I'm sure that once she's a little bit older and has more patience, she'll really enjoy listening to this book.  It's such a sweet story of friendship between Bobbs and the Little Boy! Anyone who has ever had a special relationship with a stuffed animal will appreciate this lovely story!
