Boogie Board Jot 8.5

I don't know about your husband, by mine loves gadgets. Every year for Father's Day we buy him a new watch (its our tradition), but I also like to get him something unexpected and fun--like a new gadget.  If you're looking for a neat, fun gadget for Father's Day this year, you've gotta check out the Boogie Board Jot 8.5 from Improv Electronics!

We were sent the Boogie Board Jot 8.5 to review, and since I needed my husband to review it, he got an early Father's Day present out of it.

The Boogie Boart Jot 8.5 is a LCD eWriter. Essentially, what that means is that you can write on it with this a stylus, just like you would a paper and pencil. It's convenient for so many things! My husband frequently has to take notes for things at work, and this is a fun, easy way for him to do so now. It's also a great way to keep a store list, errands list, jot down a phone number or address--the uses for this eWriter are limitless! Even my daughter has had a blast "coloring" on it. It's the pad of paper and pencil you never again have to replace!

When you need a clear screen, all you do is push the button at the top of the screen and in a second, it's clear and ready to go again. Now, maybe you've put your store list on the screen, but you're afraid to tuck it into you purse because you don't want to accidentally hit the erase button. All you need to do is slide the lock button on the side, and that prevents the accidental erasure of your work.

The Boogie Board Jot is so thin and feather light, it's easy to take with you wherever you go.

There is a small hole built into the board where you can insert the stylus to make the Boogie Board stand up, or you could also hang it on your refrigerator for easy display. My Boogie Board did slowly slide down my refrigerator, but a number of other ladies in my network are also reviewing this product and they did not have any sliding issues. I'm guessing that my refrigerator is not magnetized as well. If there is one thing I'd change about this product, it would be stronger magnets.

Overall, I must say that everyone in our family found the Boogie Board to be a neat product. My husband likes it for notes, I like it for store lists, and my daughter loves to draw on it.
