Learning Resources: New Sprouts Deluxe Market Kit

When it comes to play time my kids love the world of electronics, I guess its the time we live in. However, recently I have set out to try and diminish this love of gadgets. Not all together, because I think they are useful, but I want my little ones to know the joys of playing outside, getting dirty and using their imaginations! Recently we were sent another great item from Learning Resources that has greatly helped in the world of hands on play and imaginations running wild!

We received the New Sprouts Deluxe Market Kit, this kit includes a mix of 32 healthy food options such as carrots, broccoli, lettuce, yogurt, etc... as well as one shopping basket and a bushel basket. When the kit arrived I could hardly get it out of the box before all 3 of my little ones were grabbing at it.

When I opened the kit I was really impressed with the quality of the food. Its not your typical "play food" , at least not what I am used to.  It isn't cheap plastic that is going to crack , but its made of a softer more durable plastic. It really is quite impressive! Even the coloring of the food is incredible...maybe I am easily impressed but really I love this product. The fact that the steak bone is a different color from the meat & that it has grill marks, and that the asparagus has a little piece of "twine" around it are just a few of the small details that really stand out about these products.

As we all know with kids sometimes a new product is really fun for a day or two and then they are over it. Well I am happy to say that the Deluxe Market Kit is something that is still engaging my little ones on a daily basis. My 2 yr old especially loves this, I will find him several times a day just happily playing in his room with the food, and he even sometimes tries to "feed" his little sister.  My 5 yr old loves playing store with the items, so its really been a great product for all of my little ones to enjoy.

I do not recommend eating the food, but my kids seem to like it ;-)
You can purchase this kit for $49.99 directly on the Learning Resources website, the food and baskets really are such a great quality that I think this is a great price. No more rebuying the cheap quality foods, but these are sure to last for many years. One of you will win this great kit for your little ones to enjoy. Please fill out the entry form below for your chance to win, this giveaway will remain open until Monday June 10th. Good Luck!!
