ECR4Kids Patchwork Mat and Blocks Set #FunToBeOne

Welcome to the "Fun to be One" Birthday Event!
Viva Veltoro, Housewife on a Mission, and Thrifty Nifty Mommy
are all celebrating their little guys' first birthdays with a fun giveaway event!

Our very first review and giveaway is coming to you from ECR4Kids!

The floors in our home are mainly tiled.  With a little cruiser/walker on my hands, falls are fast and frequent.  I was on the hunt for a soft play area for my little guy when I came across the Patchwork Mat and Block Set from ECR4Kids and knew it would be a perfect fit for our "Fun to be Oneevent!

You may know ECR4Kids as Early Childhood Resources, a company with an extended focus on K-12 products.  They're not your typical baby item manufacturer.  They develop and distribute high quality furniture, classroom equipment, art products, and so much more!  They focus on bringing items with added value in features, functionality and performance to the market.  You probably won't find ECR4Kids items in your neighborhood stores, but there are dealers throughout the US (and internationally) that you can purchase from.  ECR4Kids has two warehouses, one on the east coast and one on the west, full of inventory so items are shipped quickly.   I received the Patchwork Mat and Block Set within just a few days of ordering!

The Patchwork Mat and Blocks have a soft vinyl exterior and a furniture-grade foam core.  The primary colors are bright and bold and super attractive to my little guy.  He's drawn to the mat and blocks every time he sees them!  These products were designed for ages 9 months and up and I think that's very accurate.  My little one has been using them since he was 10 months and they definitely keep him busy!

The mat measures 58"W x 58"D x 1.5"H.  It's thick and substantial, and super soft!  I think my little guy is so much safer playing on this mat.  He's still very unsteady on his feet, and I'm definitely more at ease when he's on the mat.

The blocks are 5.5" cubes and are made of the same soft vinyl as the mat, in matching primary colors.  You get 2 blocks in each color: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange, and Purple (12 total).  They are perfectly sized for little hands and teach your child coordination and color recognition.  I've been showing my little one how to match the blocks to their coordinating color on the mat.

The mats and blocks are both non-toxic and phthalate free.  Don't worry if you notice a slight "plasticy" scent from the vinyl when you first open the box.  It quickly dissipates and it didn't bother us at all.

Overall, we LOVE (seriously, love) our ECR4Kids Patchwork Mat and Blocks!  The mat is wonderfully soft, which makes playtime safe for my little guy.  He loves playing with the blocks and although he can't stack them up on his own yet, he loves to knock them over again and again.  I know he'll use them for years to come, as even my older nephew sat and played with the blocks for quite a while on his last visit.  I absolutely love having this set!  My little one is really enjoying it and I bet your child would love it too!

For the month of June, ECR4Kids is running a special promotion for this awesome set!  Just purchase the mat and you'll receive the blocks for FREE, that's a $90+ value!
